Last week, the 6th grade science classes visited The Wildlife Center at Legends Ranch. A tour with presentation of animal mounts there and a hike through the woods kicked off their last unit on ecology.

Reminder: Marion Public Schools will be making up one day to meet state attendance requirements. As a result, Friday, April 18th will now be a half day of school. Elementary School Hours: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM Middle/High School Hours: 7:50 AM – 11:20 AM CTC will be in session on this day. Please note that attendance is extremely important on April 18th. The Marion Chapter of the National Honor Society is hosting its fifth and final blood drive of the 2024-25 school year in the High School Media Center on Wednesday, May 7th from 10:30am to 3:30pm. You must be 16 (with a permission slip) or older to donate. Community members are welcome. Our last drive was so successful, Versiti has assigned extra staff for this drive! The 7th grade Ancient History class' 3rd quarter included a couple of activities related to ancient art styles. During their exploration of Ancient China, the class served as conscripted artisans to Emperor (Mr.) Mayer with an order to increase the size of his Terracotta Army. While studying Ancient Greece, students tried to emulate Greek architecture and statue.
