Parents are urged to ensure their children are in school on time to maximize school resources. KHC is underway, and our school is excited about feeling good while doing good! Marion Elementary School is helping kids with special hearts through Kids Heart Challenge. We want as many families as possible to learn about heart health and the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR.
You can help by completing Finn’s Mission. When your student completes all the steps, they’ll earn a Lifesavers Cape and earn a chance to win two tickets to Super Bowl LXI in 2027!

Marion Public Schools are closed today, January 30, due to extreme cold temperatures.

This afternoon, Marion Public Schools was advised by our Liaison Officer to enter Secure Mode. For additional information regarding this action, please review the attached news release from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

We appreciate the cooperation and support of our parents and families as student safety remains our top priority. Students responded appropriately, and our teachers and staff did an excellent job guiding them through the procedure.

Secure mode has been lifted, and students are now being released to go home.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.

We are currently in Secure Mode in response to an incident that occurred in town. Secure Mode may extend beyond dismissal time.

Our first priority is the safety of your children. At this time, no one will be permitted to enter or leave any school building, including both the elementary and high school.

We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to keep all students and staff safe.
