  • It’s Red Ribbon Week at MHS!  The Red Ribbon Drug Prevention campaign begins today, October 24th SLS  invites you to join in celebrating Red Ribbon Week. This annual awareness campaign was developed after the death of undercover Drug Enforcement Agent Enrique Camarena and other local law enforcement heroes who have lost their lives in the work against illegal drugs. Red Ribbon Week is designed to promote his belief that one person can make a difference in this fight and reinforce the positive decision many of you have made to remain drug, tobacco, vape products, and alcohol-free. Join the celebration!

  • Did you know that 68% of all known adult drug users have jobs? They may work in the garage that services your family’s car or in the pharmacy that fills your prescription. They may drive a taxi or fly a plane or deliver your mail or cook hamburgers at the fast food place on the corner. Protect yourself and others by making responsible decisions about drug use NOW. Choose NOT to use.

  • Did you know that there are more deaths, illnesses, and disabilities caused by substance abuse than from any other health conditions that we can prevent? And we CAN prevent them if we choose NOT TO USE. The decision is yours, and the time is now. MHS wants all of our students to live long, healthy lives. Let’s join in the fight against drug, tobacco, vape products,  and alcohol abuse.

  • Red Ribbon Week Daily Question-of-the-Day: True or False– According to the CDC, excessive drinking is responsible for more than 4,300 deaths among underage youth each year.  Check your email for the link to answer the trivia question for a chance to win a daily prize.
