Important Notice

September 7, 2021

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Today, Marion Public Schools received notice of a tornado warning at 1:09 P.M. We immediately had staff and students enter their designated areas for tornado drills. During this time period, I was in contact with Emergency Management from Osceola County. The original tornado warning was set to expire at 2:15 P.M. However, at 1:41 P.M. the tornado warning was lifted. Per our emergency plans, once the tornado warning was lifted, the staff and students were allowed to return to their classrooms.

I would like to commend the staff and students for remaining calm and doing a great job during the tornado warning.

Educationally yours,

Steve Brimmer

Superintendent
