Dear Marion Citizens Committee Members, Students, and Staff:

 WE DID IT!

On behalf of the Marion Public Schools Board of Education and all of our stakeholders, I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped with Tuesday’s bond proposal. Your insight, support, and hard work has come to fruition with the voters approving the 2021 Marion Public Schools Bond. While there is plenty of hard work ahead, now is the time to appreciate all of you who helped guide us to this win for the families and kids we serve at Marion Schools. Thank you!

As you may know this journey began many months ago and included many hours of meetings, research, and planning with our stakeholder groups, consultants, and the Marion Schools staff and administration. The goal was to meet our short and long term needs and provide “something for everyone” in terms of programming and facilities improvements. The overwhelming passing of this proposal is just another example of the pride and support we feel every day from our stakeholders. We are very grateful for that support.

The bond will go a long way in providing needed maintenance updates. The big winners, of course, are our students who will have secure, updated, and modern facilities in which to learn, perform, and compete. Thank you Marion community for your support of our school system.

Again, my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your contributions to the process.

Sincerely,

Steve Brimmer
